ChoreBuddies Terms of Use
Last updated: 29 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and TemTed (ABN 93 439 349 821) ("we", "us") for your use of ChoreBuddies: the Android app and the website at chorebuddies.app. By creating an account you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Who can use ChoreBuddies
You must be an adult (18 or over) to create an account. Accounts are for parents and guardians. Children use ChoreBuddies through a parent's account, under that parent's supervision, and never have an account of their own. You are responsible for the children you add and for how they use the app on your devices.
2. Your account
Keep your password and parent PIN private. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at support@chorebuddies.app if you think someone else has access to it.
3. Your content
You own what you put into ChoreBuddies: names, photos, routines, tasks and rewards. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. Don't upload anything you don't have the right to use, or anything unlawful or harmful.
4. Subscriptions and payments
- One child is free, with all features included. More children need a paid family subscription.
- Subscriptions on the website are billed through PayPal; in the Android app, through Google Play. Prices are shown before you buy.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel on the website in your account settings (or PayPal), and in the app through the Google Play Store. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Refunds follow the rules of the store you paid through, and your rights under consumer law, including the Australian Consumer Law, are not affected.
- If a subscription lapses, your data is kept. The household becomes read-only for additional children until the subscription is renewed. We never delete data because of a billing problem.
5. Acceptable use
Don't misuse ChoreBuddies. In particular, don't try to access another family's data, interfere with the service, reverse-engineer it beyond what the law allows, or use it for anything unlawful.
6. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from the app (Settings > Delete my account) or as described at legal.chorebuddies.app/delete-account. What is deleted and what is kept is set out in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, and we'll tell you why unless the law prevents it.
7. The service
We work to keep ChoreBuddies available and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or improve features; if we remove something you pay for, we'll tell you in advance.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Changes to these terms
If we make a significant change, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia.
